'Everything you see here recalls Japanese history and culture.' Iki Island is 17 km long from north to south and 15 km from east to west, easily accessible from Kyushu at 76 km from Hakata Port in Fukuoka City. Iki Island is situated between the Genkai Sea and the Tsushima Straits, southeast of Tsushima Island. A round and flat island in the Genkai Sea between the Asian mainland and Japan. Iki features numerous distinctive sightseeing spots. Iki is an ideal place to visit to take a tour of historic sites, explore Nature, enjoy marine sports, and treat yourself to relaxing hot springs and superb local delicacies. In the past, as an island kingdom. Iki played an important role due to its geographical location in receiving cultural influences from the Korean Peninsula and mainland China.Visit Iki and discover fascinating aspects of Japanese history and culture that have been preserved and developed on...

Iki Island is a paradise found in the southern Japan. If you go to Fukuoka, please do yourself a favor and take the trip to Iki Island.

The island have numerous of movie-like beaches with clear water and white sand. The trip to Iki Island from Fukuoka is 2 hours with ferry or 1 hour with jetfoil. If you like beaches and need relaxation, i recommend 3-5 days.

By car or scooter it's easy to get around the island. There are busses too, but they don't drive frequently. The locals don't speak english very well, but with apps it's easy to communicate as a foreigner. I think me and my girlfriend were the only non-japanese people on the island at the time, but we were treatet very good!

By far the most amazing island I've been on, regarding...

Really amazing stay on Ikki island, even if at first the raiders didn't like me much I managed to gain their trust and we all became friends. It was nice going back to the island where I spent most of the time with my father, such nice memories. Horse almost drowned on the way to Ikki but survived and helped the locals. In the end we managed to end the Eagle and her mongol dogs and now the island is a safe place. By the way the monkeys are the best part of the island, really friendly and cute after you...

Ghost of Tsushima brought me here IRL! The shrines, the windswept rice fields and the ragged coastline look just like they do in the game. The IRL Kojima shrine is just like the Nakajima Shrine in game, but in a slightly different location. I’ve posted the pictures side by side here. I even saw a fox shrine! The Iki museum is pretty and interesting but doesn’t have much on the Mongolian invasion. Also has some amazing sea urchin (only available in season) caught by the women divers of the island.

Great place to visit. Totally recommended. Got me a piece of armour called sarugami, previously worn by the legendary pirate known as black hand riku. Shout out to my man, Kashira for telling me where to find it.
