出西窯の見学にお邪魔しました。作業の様子も見れて楽しかったです。根気のいる作業だと思いましたし、釉薬をかける作業を見ていて、繊細な作業でもあるなぁと思います。 登り窯を見て、こんな大きな窯なんだとビックリしました。すごい高温の熱量になりそうで、大変そうです。

I visited the Denishi Kiln. It was fun to see how the work is done. It must be painstaking work, and watching the glazing process, I think it must be delicate work as well. I was surprised to see the climbing kiln and how big it was. It looks like it must generate a lot of heat, and be very laborious.

引き込まれるような呉須を使った出西ブルーが印象的でした。どの器も美しかったです。 どうしても出西ブルーに目が行きがちですが、それ以外にも、自然な風合いを大事にした器もあって、多様な器が並んでいました。
