It's a nice hike with an excellent view. This is arguably the best mountain to climb in the Kamaishi area. There's a restroom and a cabin on the top but the restroom can freeze over in the winter. There are a number of trails but all of them are around the same level.

2018年8月3日 金曜日 快晴 風は少し有りました。 赤坂峠登山口 6:50分登頂開始です。 登り始めは登山道に土のうなどでしっかり整備されていますので、ぬかるみなども無く登りやすいです。 途中に景色が見えるポイントがあるので、飽きずに登ることが出来ました。 傾いている岩に意味の無い添え木が面白いですね。（≧∇≦） しゃくなげ荘近くは、トイレや水場、テーブルと椅子でゆっくりできるスペースが有りました。 山頂は景色も良く見晴らしが良いです。 天気が良ければ、岩出山、室根山、早池峰山が一望出来ます。 いま時期はトンボが多くて、虫が苦手な方は虫対策をオススメします。 山頂まで危険なところは有りませんでしたので、登山初心者やダイエット、日帰り登山には最適です。 駐車場にトイレ、紙有りました。

A really lovely easy hike up to a long flat ridge line. There is a small rock formation in the middle that gives perfect 360 views of the surrounding hills and forests and out over the Pacific Ocean. Cracking spot on a clear day! There is a mountain hut just down from the ridge with toilets etc... It's a great place to...

日本三百名山にも数えられる五葉山(ごようざん) 主に 花崗岩でできている山岳🥔 その様子は、登山道の中腹に露頭した「賽の河原」ゾーンで よく観られ、前後の路程とは違った、異様な環境。 ⛰️多様性のある 地質、植生、景観で形成される五葉山を より際立たせています。

歴史を遡さかのぼると、現在 岩手県に在りながら、その昔、盛岡藩から権利を奪った仙台藩が支配していたそう⚔️ なぜか…

🌲近代 林業で 木材 銘木の産地には 「木曽の檜ヒノキ」「吉野の杉スギ」と並び「青森のヒバ」が三大名産地として有名ですが、 そのヒバは檜葉と書き表し、おなじみヒノキ科 檜ヒノキより、ゴツく分厚い葉が特徴。見ると とてもユニークです♪ ここでのヒバは「アスナロ(翌檜)」とも呼ばれていて、 住宅用建材(柱)などで主要とされ、定期周期的に伐採利用・再造林が可能＝CO2の固定 削減🌍️山地の保全や酸素供給 癒しの提供にも貢献する スギ・ヒノキに近く、同じ針葉樹です。 木材は 強度に優れ、火災にも強いことから、天然のアスナロが多く分布していた ここ五葉山を 支配下に置き、 当時の日光東照宮の建造に献上させた、との歴史説もあるそう。 油分を多く含む樹皮を加工して🔥火縄銃の導火線「火縄」を生産し、軍事力の増強に貢献 🌙伊達家の時代 火縄銃の生産 配備は４万丁にものぼったとのこと。 ロマンあふれるエピソードで、想像しながらの山歩きも、素敵ですね☆

🌳穏やかな山容、緑のトンネルを抜けた尾根沿いは、遠く山々を見渡す稜線コース。 日ノ出岩からは下界を眺望する絶景も。

ぜひ訪れてみたい、地方の名山です⛰️
