The shrine trail course is steeper but the path is easier to navigate than the waterfall course.

The waterfall course is longer but less steep, although there are more technical terrains here and there are some parts where the trail path could be hard to find and it’s easy to get lost so be careful. I recommend downloading an offline gps map so you won’t get lost.

I entered the shrine trail head, climbed to the peak and rested there for 10minutes. I descended back down using the waterfall course. It took me a total of 2hours and 31 minutes, I didn’t have sticks although I think they would’ve been useful. I was using trail running shoes and I think it was good enough, I was able to run in some flatter areas of the trail.

Overall its a fun hike and I recommend it for people who wants a challenge. Just be careful of bears, bring a bear bell and if you can a bear spray. I saw one and it ran away from hearing the sound of...

I climbed Mount Kasagata in the summer of 2018. It was the first mountain hike I had ever experienced (there are no mountains where I come from) and it was the most beautiful experience of my life. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking. I still dream about this place! 😍 I hadn't realized how difficult the climb was before embarking and felt lost a couple times. I enjoyed the...
