5月初旬に訪れました。丸沼高原スキー場にあるロープウェイ(大人1人 ¥2000)で約10分乗ると、ここ天空の足湯のある山頂に着きます。 初夏の陽気の中でも、この付近にはまだ雪がたくさん残っており驚きました。足湯は、コロナ対策のためかお湯を張っていない状態でした。 展望デッキからは丸沼や周囲の山々が見え、開放的な眺めが楽しめます。 沼田市街やスキー場と比べると体感気温が2,3℃低く、半袖だと肌寒く感じますので長袖をオススメします。 また、こぢんまりとしたレストランがあり、うどんや蕎麦などの軽食が食べられます。 スキーされない方でも、是非一度訪れることをおすすめします。

人生初の足湯。こんなに気持ち良いとは知らず、しばらくゆっくりしてしまいました。 24年8月再訪。やっぱり足湯って気持ちいいですね！

丸沼高原へのアクセス情報です。東武日光駅から奥日光へは路線バス、奥日光から丸沼高原へは高原利用者用の無料バスが出ています。丸沼高原から鎌田バス停で乗り換え、沼田駅へと抜けることが出来ます。 11月ごろに行きましたが、木々が色づいていた日光とは異なり山の上には雪が積もっていました。 雪山を眺めつつ足湯につかるのはなかなかに贅沢かと。
