Mount Kinpu — Local services in Kawakami

Mt. Kinpu is the high mountaine of the altitude 2599 m at the western end of the Oku-Chichibu mountain range. A great view without obstructions from its top beyond the forest limit is really wonderful. People who love mountain landscapes in Japan shall climb this mountain once at all. If it is from Oodarumi Pass it is possible to make a round - trip with climbing half a day. If the weather is fine, you can walk with a hiking mood but because it is a mountain road that exceeds 2000 m in altitude, clothing and equipment to prepare for sudden weather change are essential. Also, because it is on the ridgeline, there is no water field on the way. Oodarumi Pass with an average altitude of 2365 m with paved woodland roads and parking lots. There is only an altitude difference of only 234 m from here to 2599 m of Mt. Kinpu. However, the mountain climbing road is not flat as it has Mt. Asahi-dake, Mt. Tstuzan up / down on the way. One of the most prettiest hike you can do within a single day from Tokyo (but wake up early!). If you have a car go to Oodarumi Touge Parking Station area or wake up early and take a taxi from JR Enzan Station to this parking place (takes about 1 hour so bring some cash or friends! the price was over 10,000 JPY).

The trail starts from the parking area through Asahi Mountain. The hike is medium level with some steep areas and rocks to climb or go down, but the experience and the view makes up for it.

The view from the top is incredible, very dynamic and impressive landscape with huge rocks and wild nature. Make sure to bring food and cash with you (some taxi companies or shops only take cash). 九州100名山のおかわりを終えて、西側を攻めることとしました。 とりあえず、長期休暇が取れるときは日本百名山。 それ以外の週末は中国百名山又は中国百名山を制したいな!（55歳までには）けど、熊が怖いけど

今回は年に一度取得できるリフレッシュ休暇（平日5日連続休暇）で、富士山登頂と山梨近辺の日本百名山を攻めます。 一日目 乗り込みのため、夕方着で門司まで移動。 名門大洋フェリーで門司⇛大阪南（17:00⇛05:30） 二日目 大阪南到着し高速で移動。その後、日本百名山 天城山 三日目 日本百名山 富士山 四日目 日本百名山 甲武信ヶ岳 五日目 近隣の企業ミュージアム（KDDI、リニア新幹線） 六日目 日本百名山 雲取山 七日目 日本百名山 両神山 八日目 日本百名山 金峰山＋瑞牆山（みずかぎやま） 九日目 日本百名山 大菩薩嶺 登山後神戸港まで移動し阪九フェリーで 神戸港（18:30発）→ 新門司港（翌朝07:00着） 十日目 家にたどり着く の工程となります。
