Unmanned station on the Hakodate Main Line. Very remote but still quite walkable from Hirafu Midtown area. Being yr own food and water as no stores or vending machines in the entire surrounding area. Lovely station BUT no staff &no transfer available here!!! This is a very rural place! Travelers coming to Niseko ski area Please Go To KUTCHAN station which is the main town, where you are able to take taxi or local bus to Grand Hirafu/Niseko...

念願の「駅舎民宿」に宿泊！。 「駅の宿 ひらふ」、やっと来れた。 函館本線の山線の廃止は決定済、まだ廃止までは6～8年の猶予があるが、宿のオーナーが変更するのも決定したので、訪問出来る時にチャンスを逃さず…。 部屋は線路側のトレインビューの「深緑」を1人で宿泊。 1泊2食で13000円。 高いか？、安いか？…は、その人次第？。 「乗り鉄」としては、念願であった…比羅夫駅のプラットホーム上でのBBQディナー！。 北海道ならでは、サッポロクラシック呑みながらのBBQ最高ー！。 お肉も海鮮も野菜も美味しいが、焼おにぎりが絶品ー！。 もうこれだけで…十分満足か(笑)。 部屋は駅舎の使いふるしだけど、清潔で綺麗です。 駅舎横のログハウス1階に…綺麗で広いお風呂もあるし、駅舎内の丸太露天風呂も雰囲気あります。 この宿は、駅舎の2部屋と隣のログハウスの2階を入れても、最大6名迄しか宿泊出来ないので、静かにゆっくりと過ごせます。 この日も総勢5名の宿泊者で満室でした。 静かで時間が止まったような…とても穏やかな気持ちになれる宿です。 でも、列車が到着する度にテンション上がってしまうのはご愛敬ー(笑)。 是非とも、「鉄」の方は泊まって体感してみて下さい…♪。

この駅に差し掛かる普通列車の車内放送では、二度にわたって警告されます。ここに至る道もなければ集落もない。孤立無援の地だから、頼むから降りてくれるなと。そんな秘境駅中の秘境駅ですが、じつはここには、駅舎がそのまま民宿になった「駅の宿ひらふ」があります。昭和末期であり国鉄末期に建てられた、フォルクローロ高畠などと並ぶ駅舎ホテルの走りであり、鉄ヲタ垂涎の聖地なのです。 考えてみれば、この民宿を利用する人だけが乗り降りする駅。すなわちプライベートステーションというわけです。憧れが増してきませんか？私は死ぬ前に一度利用してみたいです。ホームぺージには売却先募集もされているので、宿泊施設としてももはや風前の灯なのでしょう。万難排しここに宿泊できる運びとなった皆さん、どうか楽しんできてください(^^)
