一年中、自然を楽しめる良い所です。 泉質の異なる幾つかの温泉もあります。 夏の涼しさは格別です。 空気が乾燥しているため、星も綺麗に見れます。スキー場は、標高が高い為、パウダースノーです。 春には山菜、秋はキノコも楽しめます。 蕎麦も地元で栽培しているので、美味しいです。 上高地、奥飛騨、高山などを巡るにも便利です。
