■2024/04訪問 土曜日、滝桜観覧後の13:30頃の訪問。入館料無料で、広い無料駐車場もあります。綺麗でかなり立派な建物ですね。 ちなみに「コミュタン」の名前の由来は、交流を意味する「コミューン」と福島県のマスコットキャラクター「キビタン」を合わせたもので、マスコットキャラクターの名前にもなっています。 無料ですがかなり見応えがある施設です。特に環境創造シアター(360°全球型)が凄い迫力でした。30分毎に上映しているので、上映の合間に他の展示物を観覧する感じが良いかと思います。 展示物では個人的には霧箱が好きだったりしますが、実は世界最大の霧箱は地元茨城県東海村の原子力科学館にあります。※こちらも入館料無料なので、ぜひお越しください！！ とても良い施設なのでまた訪問したいです。子どもから大人まで楽しめると思います。

今月末から始まるSDGs講座の打ち合わせでコミュタン福島(私は初めての訪問) 担当者と講座の打ち合わせと施設内の見学。 学校関係の来訪者が多いとのこと。 SDGsのゴールと重なる部分の多い施設です。 11月28日、コミュタン福島SDGs学習プログラム「福島とSDGs」の講師と進行役を務めさせていただきました。 ▶全6回の講座で昨日が第一回目。 ▶高校生が3分の２ぐらい。 高校生の参加者の意識の高さに感動でした。 私も事務局も参加者も初めての顔合わせ。 最初のうちはぎこちなかったのですが、少しずつ関係の質を上げていけたらなと思っています。 終了後は事務局メンバーと振り返りのミーティング。 次回12月20日に向けての改善点と確認をして終わりました。

ここ4年の間に、何度も足を運ばさせていただいています。福島の過去と今をしっかり勉強することができて、足を運ぶ度に理解が深まっています。東日本大震災がどのようなことであったのか、福島はそこからどのように歩んできているのか、現在の福島がどのような状態であるのかなど詳しく知ることができます。 外国の方を何度もお連れして、こちらで一緒に色々なことを学ばせていただいております。 スタッフの方々は皆様とても丁寧で、それぞれの展示に関して詳しく説明をしてくださいます。日本語と英語で対応してくださいますので、外国の方をお連れした際にもとても助かっております。 余裕を持ってすべての展示をしっかり拝見するには2時間ほど必要だと感じます。

Highly recommend Commutan for its friendly and knowledgeable staff with several English speaking members, interactive interesting displays, and quality of information presented. You will learn about Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and how the nuclear accident released radioactive particles into the airstream that contaminated nearby areas. One of the must see places to truly understand what happened in Fukushima...

Great place, amazing exhibition from which one can learn a lot. As we were the only people there we were guided by a very nice and knowledgable man who spoke perfect English. Everything was free of charge and I learnt a lot, not only about the disaster that occured, but also about prefecture....
