Musashi Shrine — Local services in Mimasaka

This shrine is a little out of the way and it's pretty small, but there is a really cool statue of Musashi to commemorate his nearby duel as well as a really old tree stump of an ancient tree that was apparently still standing back when that duel happened. Anyway, it's a really quiet slice of Kyoto and it's cool to see the history of Musashi and you can also get a really cool book from the shrine shop and a guy will do calligraphy and then you get to walk away with this.
