Kawana Farm — Local services in Miura

It’s that time again for strawberry picking season and decided to try out a new one this year. This place is great! Like most others, you get 30 minutes to pick and eat as many as you want. You’re given a tray for the stems with a side of sweetened condensed milk for dipping.

Prices vary depending on when you go, it’s more expensive at the beginning of the season. From January to March, it’s ¥1800 for ages 7 and above, ¥1100 for ages 3-6, ¥300 for 2 year olds and free for under 2.

Due to the pandemic going on, the staff makes sure the groups are at a distance from one another. Compared to the farm I went last year, this place seemed easier to pick strawberries from as it wasn’t so close to the ground. This place also has a few different types of strawberries to choose from such as Benihoppe, Sachinoka, Kaorino, and another type (forgot the name). They were all delicious but the Benihoppe was the top favorite! They also sell packs of strawberries and we ended up buying a couple of Benihoppe packs to take home... so good!

So if you’re a fan of strawberries, definitely check...

クチコミ評価が良かったので初めて行きました。3月2日土曜日、大人1600円、売店から一番近いハウスの1番のエリア内でイチゴを食べて下さいということでした。ハウス内は１番から４番の４つに区画に分けられていました。ハウス１棟の大きさは中型。だから移動範囲はせまいです。他の客と隣合わせになり窮屈でした。イチゴはヘタの部分まで赤く熟してました。しかし、食べると甘くない。場所を移動して食べても甘くない。なんで？1600円だから？個人的な考えであてになりませんが、イチゴの甘さなどのでき具合によって値段を変えてると思います。 駐車場は売店の前にありますが十数台しか駐められず、あとから来た人達が困ってました。そういうことで川名農園さんはもういいや…というガッカリした気持ちになりました。 この川名農園から近い３年前に行った。津久井浜観光農園は非常に甘いイチゴでした。その時は大人2000円でした。敷地は広大でイチゴハウスが点在し、ハウスの前に車を何台も横付けできます。大型ハウスの中の全てのイチゴを食べることができ、他の客と混み合うこともなく開放的です。家族の良...
