・大歩危 小歩危 四国山地を横切る吉野川の激流により、2億年の時を経て四国山脈の結晶片岩が削られてできた渓谷です。約8kmに渡り、大理石の彫刻がそそりたっているかのような美しい景観が特徴です。ちょっと変わった名前の由来は諸説ありますが、「大股で歩くと危ないから大歩危」、「小股で歩いても危ないから小歩危」という説があります。

・おすすめのシーズン 紅葉に彩られた渓谷の秋がおすすめです。秋の大歩危小歩危は色鮮やかな紅葉が錦絵のように広がります。毎年11月中旬から下旬にかけて紅葉の見頃を迎えます。遊覧船はもちろんのこと、紅葉狩り気分を味わえるウォーキングもおすすめの季節です。

・ラフティング 日本一の激流と呼ばれる大歩危小歩危は、世界有数の「ラフティング」スポットとして有名です。絶景の中をゴムボートで進み、水しぶきを浴びるスリルを楽しめます。何よりも激流を楽しみたいなら6月がおすすめです。
