Kamakita Lake — Local services in Moroyama

🍂🏞️Even though it is an artificial lake, I decided to stop by to see the beauty of the autumn leaves. Infortunately the area is very degraded and facilities disabled.😌 🏞️A lake situated along Prefectural Route 186 in Moroyama Town, Iruma County, Saitama Prefecture. Created in 1935 to serve as a reservoir for agricultural purposes, this artificial lake is approximately two kilometers in diameter. The lake is surrounded by abundant, seasonal beauty, including cherry blossoms in spring and fall foliage in autumn; it also serves as the starting point for the 11 kilometer long Okumusashi Nature Trail. I visited Kamakita lake a couple of days ago to enjoy the autumn foliage. Unfortunately there was no water in the lake. Construction work is underway at the lake's bed and is expected to continue up to March 2021. I am looking forward to visiting in the springtime to enjoy the lake with water and the blooming Sakura trees...

でもね、良かったのはここまで。 この後R299に出ようと、奥武蔵グリーンラインを下るのですが、その道のりが半端なく・・・ 大型二輪で鶴ヶ島方面から来た方は、絶対に来た道を引き返した方が賢明です。

顔振峠もなかなか悪路でしたが、こっちは更に上を行きました。 結論から言いますと、ほとんど歩道。 ハイカー達が歩きやすくするための舗装と言った感じでしょうか。 アスファルト舗装なのですが、道幅は車1台分。加えて道端の木々や落ち葉が30％ほどを占めている。 アスファルトに苔がむし、舗装が崩れて大きな段差もそこらじゅう。 当然小石、砂利浮きも多数あり。 この状態で結構なハイカーさん達が歩いてくるので、スピードなんか全く出せませんし、出す気もしない。 小砂利に足を取られてコースアウトなんてしようものなら、ガードレールも無いので数メートルは落下しますね。木には引っかかるでしょうが、レッカー呼ばないと無理。ってかレッカー入れるのかな？

ごく軽量車で飛ばさずにトコトコ行くのならOKですが、大型で踏み入れる道ではありません。 私はUターンも出来る場所もなく、仕方なしにずっと2速アイドリング状態でハイカーさん達に白い目で見られながら、ヒヤヒヤで下ってきました。
