Staying at Taikanso Senaminoyu hot spring hotel in Niigata was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel's stunning mountainous surroundings and traditional Japanese architecture.
The staff welcomed me warmly and showed me to my room, which had a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. The room was spacious and elegantly decorated with a traditional Japanese theme, complete with tatami mats, sliding paper doors, and a low wooden table.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's hot springs, which were fed by the natural mineral-rich waters of the surrounding mountains. The hot springs were divided into separate male and female baths, and each had several different pools of varying temperatures and sizes. Soaking in the hot springs while taking in the serene mountain views was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating.
In the evening, I enjoyed a delicious multi-course traditional Japanese dinner, which was beautifully presented and included local specialties like fresh seafood and vegetables. The meal was accompanied by sake, which was expertly paired with each course.
After dinner, I participated in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, which was conducted by a knowledgeable and friendly staff member. I learned about the history and significance of the ceremony while savoring a delicious cup of matcha tea.
My stay at Taikanso Senaminoyu hot spring hotel was an incredible experience that left me feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and immersed in the rich cultural traditions of Japan. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a truly authentic...
Read moreI stayed in this Ryokan style hotel during April 2016. I have a very good room which has a sea view. When you walk down to the beach side you will see the place where you can put your feet in the hot water pond to sooth your heal. At the same time this hot water pond has a good view to the sea with some garden nearby. When you go to the room you will have you own onsen. But the most highlight is what you will have for a perfect dinner which is full course very high quality foods. I bet it will be rarely to find in any Ryokan style hotel. This hotel located in the famouse sea salmon fishery. You will always get a very fresh sashimi...
Read moreI have stayed at 5 different hotels in Murakami, and the Taikanso is the best quality, and is cheaper than its closest competitor. This is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in in Murakami. Resort towns have a hard time keeping the place maintained since they live boom-to-bust, but Taikanso does a good job. All the rooms I have seen face the ocean. For a bath, the public hotspring faces out toward the ocean, and some rooms have a bath with a window toward the ocean. Staff is the best trained in town. Reliable Internet access in the lobby. Get up for the breakfast - eating 3 kinds of local fish always gets my day off to a...
