Hiked down from Chusha to Houkosha via a lovely, fairly well marked route through the snow. 霊山戸隠山のふもとにあり、奥社・中社・宝光社・九頭龍社・火之御子社の五社からなる戸隠神社。はるか神代の昔、高天原に由来する「天岩戸開き神話」ゆかりの神々を祀っています。弟のあまりの乱行に天照大神は、岩戸にお隠れになり、世の中は真っ暗になり、大混乱になりました。そこで、困った神々が会議をし、大神を再び外へお連れするため、歌や踊りの祭りを開きました。
