今ではすっかり忘れ去られたような施設になりつつありますが、長野オリンピックの貴重な財産です。 存続が危ぶまれ、維持管理も大変なようですが、周囲を自然公園とかキャンプ地、展望台などを作り、観光地化して気軽に人が来れるようにしたら良いと思います。 アクセスも悪くないので、やり方次第で維持費は保てるのではないかと思いますが、なかなか難しいのでしょうね・・・ 施設としては素晴らしいのですが・・・

市内から少し遠いですが、自然も感じられてとても良い場所です。老朽化が凄いので長野オリンピックを知っているなら一度は見ておくべき場所だと思います。自分が行ったときは熊に遭遇したので一応の保険として鈴などを持ってくことをお勧めします。

Great place to visit and see the history of the 1998 games. The care taker gentleman is very welcoming and keen to help, He was generous to help us explore the area. They have a small museum inside the building with some interesting items. Can drive all the way to the top and get great views...

1998年の長野オリンピックの時にソリ競技がおこなわれた場所になります。ソリ競技が競技人口がとても少ないのと、膨大な維持費がかかるということから競技場としてほぼ使われなくなっているとのことでした。白馬村のジャンプ台や長野市内のスケートリンク、スキー場などと比べるとなんだかとても納得してしまいました。立派な競技場なのに残念です。 敷地内には係員の方はいませんでしたが、管理塔があるところから一応は管理がされていることがわかりました。敷地内を散策するには特に何か手続きが必要という訳ではなく、わりと自由に見学をすることができました。競技のスタート地点やコースのすぐ近くまで見ることができる他に、選手の方が練習に使っていた場所な...
