We visited the station by car, and it was a treat to admire its unique architecture and tranquil setting. The scent of cedar adds a touch of nostalgia, making the experience even more special. While the station no longer operates regularly, its preservation allows visitors to step back in time and appreciate the craftsmanship of traditional Japanese station buildings. The peaceful environment around the station is perfect for photography and quiet reflection. We hope to visit this place again in the future—this time by train—to truly immerse ourselves in the historic charm of Teshio-Nakagawa Station. It’s a hidden gem worth exploring for train enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

〇２０２２年７月２０日・記 ＪＲ宗谷本線の無人駅。特急停車駅で、駅周辺は市街地となっています。２０２２年５月下旬、臨時急行「花たびそうや」号乗車時、こちらの駅に一時停車したのが直近の訪問。２０１９年８月に「風っこそうや」号の撮影をしに行って以来なので、３年ぶりの訪問か。 出迎え・見送りにきていた中川町のゆるキャラ「じゅえる」が、２０１９年の時は空気を入れただけのバルーンタイプだったのが、今回は立派な着ぐるみになっておりました。 なお、今回の「花たびそうや」号の運行に際して期間限定で予約販売された弁当も、大変美味しかったです。

最果ての駅というイメージがぴったりの駅

昔を復元された駅舎がぽつんとある。 かつては、とても賑わっていたのだろうという事をすごく感じさせてくれる。

大き目の駅舎に、やっぱり大き目の待合室。 ど真ん中には、大型のストーブがドンと置かれている。

沢山の人たちの会話と、人いきれでむせ返っていたのだろうか・・・・

今はすべてが、ただ静かだ。

本当に静かだ・・・

時間までひっそりと控えめに流れているような感じすらする。
