黒滝山という山へは案内標識や整備された登山道は無く、三角点も展望も無い山。 不動寺の脇の登山口から右折して林道を歩き、突き当たりの右手をテープと踏み跡を辿って登る。 そんなつまらない山よりも、群馬百名山としての黒滝山は不動寺の西側の山域。 大半の人が戸隠のような岩尾根や槍ヶ岳のような梯子の険路を周回して楽しむようだ。

この辺り一帯山域のことを黒滝（瀧）山と呼ぶようです。馬の背渡りや見晴台、九十九谷、観音岩、鷹ノ巣山などのスリルたっぷりの岩場が楽しめます。高度感がありますから、あわてず落ち着いて通過しましょう。
