2024.2.10 日の出を撮るために5:30から待機。飯豊連峰の山なみの少し上に明けの明星が輝く。めっちゃ寒いので上下防寒着必須。6:00頃には空が白み出してきました。6:30頃には綺麗なグラデーション。その後7:00頃に太陽が出て来ました。直射日光当たったところから霜が融け始めますが放射冷却で寒いです。小船には薄氷が張っていました。 この時期の早朝訪れる方は寒さ対策を念入りに！

思いがけずすばらしかったです。新潟空港で借りたレンタカーの返却までに少し時間があったものですから、マップを見て近いところでと思い立ち寄りました。いい意味で期待を裏切られました。まず、なにか空調機器が壊れているということで入場料がタダでした。次に、エレベーターで上がってから斜めの回遊路を展示物を見ながら降りてくるという動線がよくできていました。その眺めというのが半端なくて、越後平野が水平線まで真っ平らということがよくわかりました。今でこそ排水路がコントロールされて米どころになったけれど水との戦いの歴史だったことや様々な野鳥の宝庫が守られてきたことが理解できました。売店も小規模ながら充実していました。次はレンタカー返却時刻まで充分時間をとって、眺めを堪能しなが...
