小郡市埋蔵文化財調査センター（古代体験館おごおり）は、西鉄三国が丘駅の南西750mほどの小郡市三沢にある公共施設です。 開館時間は午前9時00分〜午後4時30分、入場無料で、ガイドの方がとても詳しく説明していただきました。 小郡市内の遺跡から出土した資料の整理・収蔵を行い、また展示室や研修室を設けて、さまざまなイベントを企画しています。 この付近は、昭和50年代まで自然豊かな丘陵地帯でしたが、大きな団地の開発が相次ぎ、遺跡の発掘調査が大々的に行われました。 埋蔵文化財調査センターは、最初そうした開発のための発掘拠点として昭和60年（1985年）に開館しました。 平成17年（2005年）には、体験学習室と研修室などを増設し、今までに蓄積した資料を活用した体験学習・地域文化活動やボランティア活動を行う拠点として、「古代体験館おごおり」という愛称を新たに持ち、再出発しました。
