Ononiimachi Station — Local services in Ono

Ononiimachi is a strange station (but not in a bad way). It’s the ninth stop from Koriyama. Ononiimachi is home to Licca Castle, a very popular tourist destination. There are many great restaurants, bakery shops, and things to do in this town. So, I was surprised when the station had no Suica option! Luckily, it’s easy to buy tickets (the station has an electronic ticket machine). The bathrooms are to the right as you exit, and bike racks are to the left. In the waiting room is the stationmaster’s office, info pamphlets about the Ono area, a stamp booth (bring your stamp book!) vending machines, a bins for your trash. 磐越東線の運転系統の区切りとなっています。郡山といわきの直通列車と小野新町止まりの列車があります。 緑の窓口もあり、駅員さんもいらっしゃいます。待合室には自動販売機やスタンプ、椅子もあり、快適です。券売機は、普通の切符専用で、指定席券売機はありません。 また、トイレは改札内にありますのでご注意を。(追記:トイレは、改札から出て少し歩いた外にもあったかもしれません！) ホームは一面二線で、ホームには待合室(空調なし)がある他、花壇もあり、美しいです。ホームへは、線路の下を地下通路を通って移動できます。 駅から少し歩くと、アイスバーガー等...
