狐ヶ淵はその名が示す通り、どこか妖しげで神秘的な魅力を放つ淵です。光の角度によって水面の色は翡翠のように輝いたり深い藍色に沈んだりと刻一刻と表情を変えます。その透明度は驚くほどで、水中に沈む石や水草、泳ぐ魚までもが手に取るように見えるのに、同時に吸い込まれそうなほどの深さを感じさせます。 狸ヶ淵は狐ヶ淵と対照的に、親しみやすく穏やかな雰囲気をたたえています。水は柔らかな緑色を帯び周囲の森をそのまま映し込んで静かに広がります。流れが比較的穏やかなためまるで鏡のように風景を映し出し、緑豊かな渓谷の中で心を和ませてくれる存在です。
