Zenibako Star Light Beach — Local services in Otaru

The water was quite warm today, maybe 26 °C. The swimming area within the buoys is (almost) too shallow to swim in, not even waist-deep. If you go outside into the deeper water, you could be hit by the jet skis that are numerous there.

The sand is dark, fine, and good for walking barefoot.

There is no trash lying around, but we also couldn't find any toilets. Everything looks pretty deserted, and the huts are a bit run-down. There were people in some of the huts, but it wasn't clear from the outside whether they were private properties or restaurants.
