梶ヶ森天文台のさらに上に所在する、梶ヶ森キャンプ場を利用。場所は標高が約1000メートル程の山頂付近に位置。森林限界が間近なキャンプ場。炊事場設備は無く、キャンプ場から約60メートル降りた所に湧水があり、その水を煮沸して利用。トイレはバイオトイレが一棟(男女兼用)お風呂を利用したければ、キャンプ場から徒歩でも移動可能な、キャンプ場の下側にある梶ヶ森山荘(梶ヶ森天文台内に設備されている浴場)のお風呂を利用可能。昼間の景観は最高、晴れていれば夜の星も満点‼️とのこと。しかし、私が利用した時は、寒さと強風に悩まされ、夜中何度もテントの張り綱を気にする有り様。初級、中級のキャンパーにはかなり厳しいキャンプ場です。あえて、不便を体感したい上級者は利用の価値あり。

Unfortunately the observatory and the restaurant was closed due to COVID when we hiked up from Ryuonotaki in Aug 2020 but the lodge has been renovated and the tatami rooms looked clean and comfortable. We were allowed inside to use the bathroom and could see the tatami rooms for overnight stay. View from these rooms were amazing. The place lacks promotion and hence I don't think this place is known to many which is a shame as views alone are worth a visit. There is a free campground nearby (5 mins walk from the...
