In winter new year period there was no any open shop nearby, and for very early sunset (around 4.30pm), noone would be there after around 2.30pm go-back public bus, so when you have to catch the around 1.30pm bus in front of Akiu Tourist center to go to the fall, you would have only 20 - 30min to run to the fall behind the shrine and run back to the bus stop. The second one is small and you may not find a space. Both are for free. You can park your car to the main one and walk about 10 mins instead. There is an observation deck, restaurant, small shop, local goods etc. There is also a botanical garden, closes at 16:00 during winter season. There is a temple as well. The water fall is great and very tall. The color of the leaves complete the composition. A beautiful scenery, must see place if you are...
