We had an excellent time at Hakodateyama Gondola today (18 Sep 2025), the gondola view was amazing and there's a playground up on the mountain.
Unfortunately I assume because of the rain, many of the inflatable play areas had to be dismantled, but there was still a chair lift operating which brings you up another small mountain which makes the view even more grandiose.
Apart from that, I would like to offer my deepest thanks to Okamoto Sayuri-san and Hitomi-san for assisting us when our car tire went flat at 4pm. We were stranded with no Japan phone number to call the rental company and Sayuri-san graciously lent her phone to us and even helped us communicate with the rental company for 2 hours to facilitate the repair process, it was a lot of effort, and in the end thanks to everyone, we were able to continue our journey.
