Takemori Inn — Local services in Taketomi

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in November 2016 at Takemori ryokan. The owners of this hotel were wonderful and very kind. They picked us up from the ferry, the hotel is just 5 minutes from the port. The owners do not speak English but my husband speaks Japanese.||The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable, nothing spectacular but no complaints. There are rooms w either a shared toilet or private toilets. We chose full board (breakfast and dinner) and I would highly recommend this!!! The food was fantastic and plentiful and well worth the additional cost. I would come to this hotel for the food alone. ||There are coin washing machines and dryers which we used. There is a small local grocery store a 5 minute walk away. We did not have a car because we had tours booked for both days so a car was not required for us.||I would recommend this hotel and would choose to stay here again...

Excelent food (Japanese style). The owners were also very nice. The rooms were Japanese style very spacious. The downside was that it had no fridge but you could use a shared fridge in the corridor. Although this village is less popular, you can reach the other side of the island in 50m...

7年ぶりに宿泊しました。|名前は旅館ですが、中居がいたり着物を着た女将さんがいるわけではなく|ご夫婦がお二人で営む小さな宿です。|大原港から車で10分ほどの大富地区にありますが|離島ターミナルから電話で連絡をすれば港まで迎えに着てくれます。|リゾートホテルのようには行きませんが|全てにおいてメンテナンスが行き届いており全てが清潔に保たれています。|部屋は多くの部屋がバストイレ付きでトイレは温水洗浄便座に進化していました。|布団の上げ下ろしはセルフサービスですがシーツも枕カバーもしっかり|アイロンがかけれら気持ちよく休もことができます。|コインランドリーもあり外遊びで出た汚れものもすぐ洗うことができ|部屋のバルコニーに干すことができます。|以前は洗濯ロープがあっただけでしたが、今回の訪問では折りたたみ式の|物干し台が常備されており簡単に干すことができるようになりました。|浴衣もありますが、満点の星空を見るための散歩や近くの共同売店での買い物に|気軽に出かけるためには、Tシャツとジャージに島ぞうりなど気楽なスタイルの部屋着を|持参するのがオススメです。|料理は島の素材を食べやすくアレンジした料理が並びます。|季節によって限られる島の素材を調理方法を変えることで|美味しく、バラエティー豊かに楽しむことができます。|ご主人は西表島のことに大変詳しく島のことはなんでも教えてくれます。|と...
