We showed up without a booking on a random afternoon and was lucky enough to be able to do a tour around Wakoto Peninsula with Tsucchi.
Tsucchi is a great guide; very kind and shared great information about the area. Saw an abundance of wild life (mother and baby dear drinking by the lake, king fisher, grey wagtail, grey herons). We even got to make onsen eggs on the geothermal beach and have a delicious coffee break.
The main shop of Somokuya is adorably cosy; stocking baked goods, speciality coffee beans, and hand made goods.
Would absolutely recommend Somokuya and seeing Lake...
