Edogawa Line Golf Short Course — Local services in Tokyo

A budget mini golf course perfect for casual golfing. With such a cheap entrance fee, you can play as long as you wish. It's insane to think that this place actually exists in Metropolitan Tokyo. You can play golf while seeing Tokyo Skytree in distance. The Edo River is so beautiful except there are many trashes. Great place to practice approaching, but the green is uneven. The parking is free..! You can also park at driving range right where you swing. There's nothing fancy about this place; what you get is what you pay. With that being said, this place is so packed, especially weekends. Loved by both locals and visitors. You can see some people take a walk about 25 mins from Kanamachi Station to get there. That's just proving how attractive this humble golf course is to so...

I was able to play golf here as a tourist who doesn't speak or read Japanese, although I did use Google translate. No reservation required and can play solo, although it was quite busy so may be best to arrive early in the day. It's a very short course, some holes less than 50yards, and isn't maintained to a golf course standard, but plenty of fun to be had regardless. ウェッジの練習に最適です。男性であれば50度前後のウェッジと56度か58度の二本があれば事足ります。ティーショットは人工芝です。乗らなくても、乗らなかったところから2打で上がるというボギーを叩かない、ダボを叩かないという練習になります。ウェッジという最も多くのヤーテージを打ち分けなければならないクラブにとっては最高の練習環境でしょう。練習場でも練習は出来ますが、やり直しができない状況で打つことに意味があります。残り20ヤード。馬の背のようになっている硬いグリーンのどこにキャリーさせて、どのくらい転がるか？転がりはグリーンによって異なりますが、キャリーはどこに行っても一緒。キャリーをコントロールする練習になります。それと地味にチップショットする機会があり、グリーン周りでザックリ対策になります。

パターを酷評されている方が多いですが、私はそうは思いません。ちゃんとした巡回転のボールですと意外と真っすぐ転がります。私は毎度、ボールのラインとカップを合わせて打ってます。←パター練習機(傾斜を上ってタッチとラインが合うとボールがはまる練習機・・・なんて名前でしたっけ(笑)を使うようになってから自分の技術がポンコツだったことに気づきました。ここで5歩程度のラインを外す方は打ち方が間違っていると思います。(ただし、ジャストタッチで打つとカップの周りの芝目にやられることがありますが、これは高麗芝では普通のことで、赤羽ゴルフや戸田ゴルフあたりを頻繁に利用される方には違和感ないと思います。高麗はグリーンってどこのゴルフ場も小さいです。知らない人が多いような気がします。)

4番か5番？だったかな？ティーから40ヤード、グリーン固い、乗ってもこぼれるんだよね～という状況で、オーバーせずに攻めるには？手前のエッジにつけて2打目の5ヤードとかのアプローチで寄せていくのか？をテーマに毎回回ってます。ウェッジで刻む＝必然ウェッジの距離感も養われます。
