Interesting little place that you can find on the south side of Shikine Island. You have to walk down the rocky path, so make sure that you bring legit sneakers; no flip flops.. 島を代表する温泉。 その名の通り、まさしく地を、鉈で割って出来たような岩壁。 そして、それを通り抜けた先にある、海とつながる絶景の湯。

こんな、凄いロケーションの温泉って・・めったにお目にかかれないだろう。 式根島を訪れるなら「マスト」で行くべき場所かと。

ただ湯の温度は、完璧に、海水の流入具合に左右される。 「いい温度」で入れる時間というのは、季節により変わってくる。

ネットで調べたら、そのへんの詳しいことは現地の人に聞くのがいい。

・・と書いてあったので、聞いてみたら、意外と「うーん。。」と、首を傾げる人が多かった。 有名な観光地だけど、現地の人はあんま知らないあるある。

じぶんの場合（９月中旬）。 ・昼ぐらいに行ったら、熱すぎて、ギリギリ入れるのは、海沿いの湯壺一カ所だけ。 ・16時ぐらいに行ったら、わりと満遍なく、いい湯加減だった。

式根島にゆく人は、みな、この野趣溢れすぎる絶景を堪能して欲しい。

行かないのはモッタイナイ。

着替える場所はないので、来るなら、あらかじめ水着をつけとこう。 トイレは、温泉を望む高台にあるので、そこで済ましておこう。
