Mt. Odake — Local services in Tokyo

A somewhat tough hike. Trail is sometimes a little ambiguous and a tad difficult to identify. Hikers can expect to encounter steep climbs and rocky areas in various points throughout the hike depending on their starting point. Would highly advise against climbing in adverse weather conditions and at night. I'd recommend riding the cable car to Mt. Mitake first and then climbing from there. Or if you're the adventurous kind, head down to Unazawa-Enchi, and begin your hike from there towards Mt. Odake. Otherwise, it is a beautiful place full of nature, with amazing views at the top. We started hiking from Okutama station and hopped on Mt. Nokogiri, Mt. Otake san and Mt. Mitake. It was quite an adventurous trek but beautiful views at Otake summit was worth taking some pains during the rough hiking areas. Going from Mitake station you can quite easily get too the summit using the railway too the top of Mount Mitake and then walking the rest of the way. The last climb too the summit is steep.
