Muikagahara Sand Dunes (Kurosuna) — Local services in Tokyo

What an incredible view! It was difficult finding the entrance of the hiking trail to reach the Black Sand Dunes Cliffs, Google maps doesn’t have the actual access to the path. Make sure to enter this code to don’t get lost 3QFQ+9QJ Hachijo, Tokyo, Japan. Is a short hike maybe 30 minutes, it starts easy with a road, to become a track, to lead to trail and when jungle! The walking track is not maintained at all, overgrown with tall grass. You can’t understand your direction and neither see where you put your feet. At one point I had to tide some of my belongings to the grass to make sure to don’t get lost ( a person is went missing on this hike a year ago). After the struggle and the scratches, make sure to wear long sleeves and pants, you will see something really unique. 夫と2人で歩いて登りましたが、たまたま風の強い日で、（１３mほどの風速）完全に上まで行けませんでした。

普段、運動しないので、途中で息切れしながら登りました だんだん道が細くなり、更には頂上付近にくると、軽石の様な砂で靴が滑り、なかなか上まで登れません。

私はブーツだったので、まだよかったのですが、普通の靴では、足の中に小石程度の小さな砂がたくさん入ってしまうかもしれません。

砂で靴の表面は汚れます。

上の方に行くと、高さと遮るものがないせいか、風で飛ばされそうになり、目や耳、口にも砂が入り、登ることができませんでした。

写真では分かりづらいですが、他の方が書かれている様に、黒い砂の崖です。

黒い砂の上に乗ると、急な坂になっていて、そのまま海まで滑っていく危険性がありますので、風の強い日は、端まで行くことはやめた方がいいです。

歩く場所は細いけど、平になっているため、その部分だけを歩けば安心です。

途中急に開けた時に、風が急に吹くので、気をつけて下さい。

帰りは下り坂でしたので、行きより早く帰れました。

結構スリルのある場所でした。

風の強い日は要注意です。 （山の上なので、通常でも風が強いかもしれません。）
