I must express my deep sorry for the visit to this centre. I fly especially from HONG KONG to Fukushima, TEPCO Decommissioning Archive Center on 12 March 2024 and arrived at the centre around 11:50 am. According to the leaflet provided by TEPCO, no reservation is needed, however upon arrival they refuse our entry for telling no reservations in advance. We spend for more than 5 hours travel to Japan, they only have 10 minutes video show to us. We then express our wishes to just look around and won't cause any disruption to their daily work. Nevertheless a staff approached us and drove us out of the centre. That's what a humiliation and impolite...

Visited in June, didn't have a reservation but they were very polite and took us on an English guided tour. Explained the subject matter very professionally. While it is a somber subject, it refreshing to see such a transparent view on the disaster.

This transparency touched me personally as the "Santa Susana Field Laboratory" is the worst nuclear disaster in America yet it has been covered up. If you are reading this please spread awareness as many people do not know about this disaster...

Free guided English tour. The archive surprised me a lot since it's regularly updated to the latest findings and developments in the cleaning and decommissioning steps. This tragedy really shades a light again into how corporations need to strive to highest standards, not just good enough. TEPCO almost went bankrupt and will carry this for dozens of...

As a counterpart of the Memorial Museum in Futaba, this works as a PR effort from TEPCO to keep their image positive and to show their efforts in containing the nuclear catastrophe. It has too many nuclear references that are hard to understand (even in English), although I enjoyed learning in deep about what happened those days.
