ケヤキの巨樹が有名な寺院。しかしケヤキの横に山門のようにならんでそびえる二本の大杉や、モミジ、枝垂れ桜など見るものが多い。環境省巨樹巨木林DBには登録No.41836~9で幹周り4m前後、樹高40mのケヤキ、杉が登録されているが、他にも周囲には大杉といえるほどの杉が何本かある。 晩秋に訪れたが綺麗な紅葉が見れた。赤い山門との組み合わせが見事だった。しかし驚くことにこれほど見る所が多いのに私以外訪れる人はいなかった。 近くに駐車場があるが、ここに至るまでの道は細く離合は難しく、また急坂になる。運転に自信がないなら下の三多気の桜 駐車場に停めて歩いて登ってくるのがいいだろう。 ただしそこそこ登るのでそれはそれで大変ではある。

大洞山の登山口へ行くまでの経路にあります。登山前にお手洗いをお借りしました。電気は入って直ぐにあります。(￣◇￣;) 手洗いが固定されておらず、手を洗う度に揺れてるのが笑えました。|(￣3￣)| 入口に大きなケヤキの木が3本あります。圧巻です
