Came as a guest of taishoya, free shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes from late afternoon to evening. Taishoya guests can get in for free. Towels are provided. Beautiful onsen in Kyushu. One large outdoor pool and one indoor pool. Outdoor pool right on river and it's beautiful to look across into forest (especially in autumn I image, lots of maple trees). Adults ¥1,000 and children ¥500. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided, as well as pumice stone and hair brush. Women's onsen is at end of long corridor. Really wonderful views from the baths. The water never gets cool so you are warm all the time even in the outside wind. The quality of the shampoo and the body soap is really good. Makes your hair and skin feel really soft and light. Like having a treatment done.
