Fun for all the Family in a Breathtakingly Beautiful Location There are mountain bikes, canoes and fishing equipment for hire (the fishing equipment is about 1000 yen a day and the canoes 1000 an hour in 2018) and BBQ spots and equipment to cook with and chalets and camping plots to stay in. The lake is long and thin so there is no way one can get to the far end in one hour but the dramatically steep mountain sided lake is fun to paddle down. Black kites and crows fight each other for the bread sold to feed the ducks and swans. Carp swim past. 700 rainbow trout were released but no one had caught them or anything else on the day we were there but it looked fun trying. Perhaps the trout have swum upstream or been eaten by illegally released black bass. Today on April first the cherry blossom was in bloom. There are many cherry trees along the side of the lake and on the side of the mountains. It was very beautiful. I did not see much in the way of food for sale so bring your own. Entrance is free. The accommodation is Cabin (5 people) 13,370 Campervan site 5,650 Standard Campsite 2,050 Per facility night in Yen. Cabin and Campervan site includes electricity. All include shower (I presume hot). Prices halved in the cold off season (12/1~3/31)

Our family had a great time here! The staff were extremely helpful. Enough English was known to get us checked in and to rent equipment. The cabin was so much fun and the water was great! Be prepared for wasps and horse flys in the summer. The campground does supply bug spray to help. Cabin comes with kitchen essentials, futon mattress and bedding, tv, WiFi and AC! The bedding was hard for us but we don’t prefer futon mattresses. Kids loved the three upper lofts. Bring your own towels for showering (which is free in the cabins). The tent sites were also nice and divided by privacy bushes. We will try tent camping in the fall. Definitely recommend this place!
