Mt. Fuji (富士山) is overall very beautiful and tough hike, I did it about a year back and you should definitely have water and maybe oxygen since the incline is very high. The stations as you go up are very helpful, and remember to take breaks. If you want to just see it and not hike it, definitely go to Lake Kawaguchi

This is not the actual MT.Fuji. The walk up is beautiful though, on my first trip to japan I accidentally went here thinking it was MT.Fuji. I wasn’t too upset though the town was one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. Even though it wasn’t what I thought it was it was a very pleasant surprised.

A very hard climb to do but just be persistent. There are rest stops and huts along the way. You need reservations for the huts. If you start early you can do it in 8 hrs. Be aware that the Yoshida Trail closes in mid-September. It occurred September 11 in 2023.
