Mt. Kamuro — Local services in Yuzawa

Although the altitude at the summit is only 1360m, the ridge is a great mountain with a 2000m class alpine view. I visited on a round trip from the Kamimuro Dam in October. Follow the deep beech forest along the swamp. There is a suspension bridge on the way, and you can see the Ootaki fall. If you go to the shoreline, the view will open. Autumn leaves were not yet advanced in the moss, but on the ridge line we were able to meet the magnificent autumn leaves of shrubs dyed in the moss. It was a day with a lot of clouds, but I was lucky that I could see the flag cloud on one side of the shoreline. 神室ダム先の有屋口から登りましたが、とても1300ⅿ台の山とは思えない稜線上の美しさと、しっかりした登り応えがありました。登った人の記録なんかで”二股以降は急登”とよく書いてありますが、しっかり傾斜を緩くする為に湾曲した道になっているので、そこまで言うほど急ではありません。同じ東北だと飯豊や朝日の稜線に出る時の登りに近い感じです。

尾根上も痩せ尾根ではありますが風さえ強くなければ何という事は無い道です。悪天候で強行したりせず、体力を使い切らないペースで上がっていけばまず大丈夫かと思います。
