I liked the castle and the views were beautiful but the 'midday parade' ruined this for me. It seems from the reviews some people love this but I actually really disliked this. One actor dressed as a soldier literally shouting and screaming in your face for an hour, which although I understand he's in character still made for a draining and unpleasant experience. There were occasional insults and gory details despite small children being present. It felt a little aggressive and I just avoided the tour after about 10 minutes. I would avoid going there...

Good castle & what a fun way to get there at high tide on the amphibious ' Nancy' . An interesting spread out castle with a couple of buildings having work done on them & so inaccessible currently ( May 2024 ) Still plenty to look around though. A small café is half way round :Good food ( excellent sandwiches ) , good drinks & free WiFi. An even smaller gift shop is at the start/end . Great views from the...

Brilliant day at Elizabeth Castle. Trip across in the amphibious bus 🚌 on wheels was bouncy and fun! Castle is so interesting, mix of original Castle with the concrete additions by the German occupiers. Great demos by King Charles II and the head gunner, who fired a cannon out over the bay. Trip back in the amphibious bus, we were sailing ⛔. This is such a fun visit, if in St Helier this...
