TOURIST TRAP AS IT‘S BEST!

I’m still laughing about my own stupidity paying 5 JOD for a half filled tea and a half filled coffee. 5 JOD !!! this is like 5 times more asnit should cost. :-D

Anyway, the employees are very friendly at first and talk in reasonable english to you. As soon as you enter the store someone will greet you and drag you into buy something. They force you to “have a look” uncountable times and show you very clear that they are not happy if you still deny. Prices are off the roof. If you read this before you get there, stay in the bus or outside the building to avoid getting into any uncomfortable situation.

This place is a total tourist trap. Items being sold here were drastically overpriced—up to 20 times more than what we paid elsewhere in Jordan. For example, a beautiful blue stone we bought in Petra for 5 JOD (after negotiating down from 15) was being sold here for 100 JOD. The justification? It’s a “government-authorized” store where you can supposedly return fakes—something that feels more like a sales tactic than a real benefit. Avoid buying anything here. You can find the exact same items throughout Jordan for a fraction of the price—often under 10%.

The restrooms do not even have a view, you have to climb to the top of the building for a view, and even then, it’s no different to the views anywhere on that...
