Mount Nebo Interpretation Center — Local services in Madaba

This interpretation room and adjacent tent (right of entrance) exhibits an array of mosaics salvaged from churches in Khirbat al-Mukhayyat (under the tent) and 'Ayoun Musa. There are also Roman period milestones and even Iron Age Moabite pottery in the display cases. There are scale models of the Moses Basilica and the Town of Nebo (Khirbat al-Mukhayyat). The information boards explain the history of the area with written accounts of ancient pilgrims to Mount Nebo.
