"Little Brazil" Currasco grill & Karaoke — Local services in Jetisu Region

Always willing to give a restaurant or bar a second chance to prove themselves. Well, in the case of 'Little Brazil' this was a mistake. Having spent considerable time in Brazil and being familiar with what a churrasco is all about, this is nothing like a good churrasco. In fact, it is nothing like a good restaurant. On the second visit, the first issue was a gaucho who was extremely rude towards my partner for taking too much meat from the joint at the table. Seems odd given the gaucho is the one carving the meat and as such controls how much leaves the joint. That point notwithstanding, is there any scenario where staff swearing at customers is acceptable? Not anywhere civilized. The second issue would be the inattentive waiters and the fact it seems quite likely that customers could die of thirst whilst waiting for drinks. More than 30 minutes for a single drink order - how is that even possible with a dedicated bar and associated barman? After complaining we were bizarrely offered complimentary salad and some wet napkins were brought to the table (not to be mistaken for hot towels). For those of you unfamiliar with a churrasco, the whole concept is to dine on meats and not salad (complimentary or otherwise) and the wet napkin was to clean our hands after eating with a knife and fork. Seriously, what the f**k? The service was so bad, we demanded a discount. Service (what service?) charge was removed and the two drinks that actually found their way to the table were also removed. Small recompense for what was a terrible experience, avoid this place and the inept...

As it's often the case in Almaty, restaurants and cafes try really hard to pretend being high-class and special but it's not really true. This place is no exception. They offer very few "real" Brazilian dishes, it's hard to get there as it's far away and is located in a place that constantly suffers from traffic jams, their decoration is a weird Frankenstein as it mixes some Brazilian carnival and Hawaii styles together, the evening "show" is simply embarrassing and makes no sense as the mood of this place doesn't really reflect the carnival atmosphere. On top of that, the place is expensive and has mediocre food and service. I feel like the target audience of this place is rich people...

На входе встретил персонал, проводил внутрь, уточнил про фуршетный завтрак. Работает летняя терраса и часть заведения внутри, где есть огромные открытые окна от пола до потолка. Про систему фуршета думаю рассказывать особо не надо, взяли тарелку, собрали в неё что захотели и пошли завтракать.

Там есть: каши, шакшука, сухие завтраки, нарезки сыров, колбас, овощей, фруктов, блины, бельгийские вафли, широкий выбор топингов к блинам и вафлям, йогурты, булочки синнабоны, два вида десертов, а также можно заказать омлет/глазунью с добавками, которые вы собираете на одну тарелку и вам из них делают блюдо, из напитков: лимонад, вода чай, кофе из аппарата.

Каждый брал разное, у меня были два блина(классический и матча), фрукты, немного овощей из шакшуки(яиц не было, но мне больше нужны были овощи), омлет заказала отдельно с грибами, брокколи и сосиской, его несли бесконечно долго, муж заказал свой завтрак раньше меня, но его заказ ДВАЖДЫ(!) унесли за другой стол😁 Так что его глазунью с сардельками мы ждали около 30 минут(если не больше), периодически подходя для уточнения о готовности. Очень понравилась пародия на синнабоны, пародия потому что для меня синнабоны визуально другая булочка - улитка🥯 Периодически ребята не успевали обновлять блюда, а также засыпать кофейные зёрна в аппарат. Ну и порадовал выбор молока🥛тем, что стояли растительные: кокосовое, миндальное, соевое👍🏻

Везде скапливались очереди, никаких расстояний между людьми в этих очередях не было, как бы я не старалась держаться подальше, меня все равно настигали дышащие в затылок😂 Просто сама зона с едой очень тесная и маленькая, поэтому образуется скопление людей в одном месте. Много людей передвигалось по заведению без масок, хотя сейчас есть правило: за столом без маски, передвижения только в ней. Что сказать? Во всей этой расслабленной движухе даже я потеряла бдительность и один раз встала без маски, чтобы попросить ложку и салфетки😷 Когда села обратно за стол и взгляд упал на маску то чувствовала себя весьма некомфортно😥
