I have visited the CFC Medical Centre on several occasions and would like to express my concern about the unwelcoming behavior of certain healthcare assistants. I am particularly troubled by the two ladies who do not display their badges, as they seem to lack professionalism. Their shouting and angry demeanor suggest they may be resentful of their work, which is distressing.
There is a noticeable lack of compassion, empathy, respect, and attentiveness to patients, particularly considering that many patients are elderly. The communication skills exhibited by these individuals are severely lacking, creating a hostile environment for those in need of care. It feels as though interacting with them requires one to “worship” them to avoid being shouted at or dismissed.
It is concerning to see elderly individuals struggling to access care, only to be turned away. Are these individuals truly professional healthcare assistants, or are they simply placed in these roles to contribute to patient distress? No one can maintain a stable mindset after dealing with the two ladies at the entrance. This situation must be addressed urgently.
I urge the patient relations team, compliance officer, Quality Assurance, or even HR to take control of this issue. I am voicing my concerns on behalf of many patients who do not have a voice, as I cannot tolerate being treated this way in a faith-based medical facility. Solutions must be developed to improve how patients are treated. It would be beneficial to implement a digital queue and ensure that healthcare assistants treat patients with the respect and care they deserve. Additionally, there should be a strict adherence to privacy policies, as I witnessed one of the rude healthcare assistants discussing an elderly patient in my presence.
I believe I have escalated this matter adequately, and if action is not taken, I will have to bring it to the attention of any relevant authorities who care about patients and their rights. This is a medical center, not a military camp.
