Mt .Satima is the third highest peak in Kenya with such a beautiful landscape and scenic camping spots .If you enjoy walking on large open grassland fields with a gentle breeze and hike up beautiful terrains, this is the spot to be in..and ,remember to carry a camera because dragon's teeth is waiting...Such a cool spot to camp and take some photos .. You might want to know how difficult the hike is and It's pretty manageable by anyone.I would categorise it as "Moderate" and beginner friendly, provided you've been up a hill before,..the only thing to watch out is how your body will respond to the altitude but that shouldn't worry you,..was with a group and we summited without any issues..take it slow and you'll be up there with no time . Did you know that Mt.Satima has two peaks ?...Well go out there and find out . What to carry: Waterproof boots - just in case it rains. Rain jacket/Poncho/°Umbrella Water -atleast 2 litres Snacks šŸ‘ŒšŸ˜ Hope you enjoy your hike and let me know if this review helps.

I had an amazing hiking experience at Satima! The views on the way up and during the hike are absolutely stunning - and the Dragon’s Teeth, it’s a nature lover’s dream. The hike itself was beginner-friendly (in my opinion as I had not hiked before) for the most part, the last 1.75 km was the most challenging due to the altitude, fog and steep incline. A few tips: the road to the Aberdare National park shamata gate was really rough. It’s 19km uphill and it has loose pebbles and stones, so I’d recommend a 4x4 or using the alternative Shamata route that goes all the way to Nyahururu, which is much better but almost twice as long. Also, dress warmly - it gets seriously cold and foggy at the top, so bring layers of jackets, gloves, and a mask. Despite the tough final stretch and freezing temperatures, getting to the peak was incredibly rewarding. Would totally do it again! Also shout out to our guide John!

Beautiful scenery especially at the top of Ole satima. This was my 4th hike this year, Mt Satima and Dragon's teeth The 3rd highest summit in Kenya, the trail was really windy but the views and hills were breathtaking. When the howling of the winds died down it was really quite just you and the surrounding, views as far as the eyes could see. To get to Mount Satima you have to pass through Dragon's teeth those hills literally look like huge dragon's teeth šŸ˜† It was a 17km hike the whole way,I loved every minute of it šŸ˜‰šŸ˜
