Kopaonik — Local services in Raska Municipality

This review is about the time here in winter. After checking out the crowds in other ski resorts and slopes i must admit that crowds here are not that big 👌🏻 But... Very untidy ... No sidewalks for pedestrians anywhere around this whole place. If you walk, you walk on the roads. There's lots of snow that's piled up, it melts and turns into ice, so it's slush and then just ice. Watch your steps! It is NOT a family friendly place as some referred to it in the comments, because there are NO outdoors facilities for children, no playgrounds, no safe and fun slides equipped for children. There's only slide slopes spontaneously appeared where children choose to slide 🤷🏻 with no steps to go back up. The infrastructure is terrible, it's not thought through at all. To be honest it looks like people who run this place do not know what they are supposed to do with all the snow that they have there, how to handle it or they don't care about their guests and their outdoor comfort. The prices are high, the quality is low. But if you love skiing or snowboarding and come here ONLY to do this, then it's ok i guess. That's why i gave 4 stars. There's nothing to do, nowhere to go if you're not on the slopes 🤷🏻 Keep that in mind, that and the fact that it's allowed to smoke everywhere you go. So if you're not a smoker, this place is not friendly for you 🤷🏻 I expected more from the place. I really hope in the years to come this whole place will emprove to meet the highest standards, because it does have the potential. It only lacks...

The slopes are decent for intermediate snowboarders and skiers. But you cannot escape smoking in this country. Even the non smoking areas will have ashtrays and there is no physical boundary or exhausts anywhere. Every night I feel like I smoked a pack of cigarettes and I smell like a smoker. Even places like spas and saunas will require you to go through a smoke filled lobby that looks like a magic show.

The food is okay, very salty not super expensive but there isn’t much variety.

Snow quality wasn’t great very slushy but was probably just bad luck with the weather.

Nobody speaks English so get your google translate ready. The staff in restaurants are generally quite nice though.

People in the queues are quite rude and really push themselves in front of you on the line to the ski lift. Also very busy to enter at the bottom. Once you get up...

Just beautiful. Wonderful place, easy to reach, the road leading across the mountain ha magnificent view, i suggest you take a few days hike or, if choose to go by a car, drive slowly and stop occasionally to breathe the clear scent-full air. Recommended time of visit is any time of year for its surrounded with ever-green forest, there is a ski center for winter activity lovers, there are hiking paths all around the place, clean water streams(drinkable), structures(hotels, houses, restaurants et cetera) are built in a beautiful style that cannot be explained by words. Although, for my budget, hotels are overpriced. I havent heard about the camping areas but most probably there are some for it is a touristic location. Wild camping and fires are not allowed for it is a national park as well.

10/10 would go again. Go? No!...
