KOC Ahmed Al Jaber Oil & Gas Exhibition in Kuwait 🇰🇼 was an incredible experience! 😊 Despite encountering issues while trying to book the tour online and uncertain if the exhibition was open, we decided to go, and it was totally worth it.
Our guide, Rawan, made the visit exceptional by explaining everything from geology to the history of oil discovery in Kuwait. We learned about different oil fields, their production, and locations, showcasing impressive technological advancements.
On another floor, we were warmly welcomed by tour guide Wasmiya. The documentary about the invasion and burning of oil fields, lasting six months nonstop, was eye-opening. The emotional impact of the graphics, voiceovers, and interactive visuals left a lasting impression.
A special note on Eng. Sara Akbar: She played a crucial role in establishing the fire department at KOC, being the only female in the department. Notably, she actively participated in putting out the fires, making her voice in the video even more significant. 🥲
Highly recommend this exhibition for an informative and...
Read moreNo clear information published in the official website that visitor require guided tour booking. I happened to arrive at 11.50am and was told the next guided tour is at 2pm. Deciding to leave, while waiting for our ride (taxi by careem apps) outside the lobby, we were approached by the receptionist inviting us to stay indoors due to intense summer heat in Kuwait. She also offered us a quick tour since she knows we're not staying for the 2pm scheduled tour. Very nice of her to offer us that we can't resist! The exhibition is very informative not only for kids but also adults who wants to know more about oil extraction process in general (not too details) . At the end of tour we watched a quick documentary about well killers heroes who put off the fire after the Gulf War. This is underrated museum that not listed under...
Read moreWhen I told my children we were going to an oil exhibition they weren't impressed. However we had a really great time, the exhibition is really interesting and the tour guide was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. We had a lot of children in our party and he was good with them, showing them all the interactive elements to the tour, of which there were a lot! The story of the oil fires was very well told and interactive, a real highlight of the tour (I won't spoil it for me you!) The gift shop is also VERY reasonable in price, we bought a lot, and there is a Starbucks and (a very good) children's playground. The only reason I haven't given 5 starts is that the guide moved us quite quickly through the exhibition and we would have liked more time to explore the exhibits and read the...
