The statue stands atop Jabal El Salib (Mount of the Cross) near Mount Chabrouh, with stunning views over the valleys and surrounding peaks . Designed by Lebanese sculptor Nayef Alwan, based on specifications from Elie Salame, whose son recovered miraculously from meningitis after surgeries in July 2016 .

A beautiful religious place on top of the mountain. It was installed in 2017. The road is hard to take since it is a climbing one with no barriers, so a little scary and dangerous for beginner driver. The view is breathtaking on sunset but also cold even in summer. A jacket or wrap is needed and light shirts are not recommended. The site is still under construction so there is lot of dust and facilities as toilets are primitive.
