This is by far one of the greatest places I have ever visited in my life. It all boils down to my days in Africa when we travelled to Maseru.

Later that year we will never explore Lesotho and drive to Maletsunyane falls. We drove past villages and settlements, met locals who so generous, humble and happy to meet us.

The road is bit scary on some parts as you go up and down hills and you will have that feeling that you might drift off and the car will roll off. I suggest one to drive whilst sober. The scenery is so so beautiful and Maletsunyane falls captivated my heart.

I intend to visit this place someday and meet Bana ba ga...

Lesotho is one of Southern Africa’s most naturally spectacular landscapes, and the falls are one of its highlights. Easily accessible via vehicle (parts of the drive see the roads in poor condition so either drive slowly or use a 4x4) and from there it's a short 10-15 minute walk down to the gorge facing the falls. There are no safety ropes so use your common sense. There are plenty of photographic viewpoints around the area and it isn't usually that busy, so you will have a lot of space to explore and enjoy. If you’re game, the world’s longest abseil which drops down on the left side of the falls can be booked at...

One of the classic scenic spots in Lesotho, Maletsunyane Falls is absolutely worth a visit. There’s a bunch of ways to see the falls, but the quickest and easiest is to drive (follow local signs) and do the short walk to the lookout spot. In winter months the waterfall tends to be in the shade for most the day, so if it’s sunny then it’s not the best for photos. If you’re up for the challenge then try donkey trek to the falls, hikes or even an abseil - all those activities can be organised at the nearby Semonkong Lodge.
