We were left feeling impressed by our initial session at the Mount Austin branch, and decided to sign up for the whole package with them. We were not disappointed at all… each visit is always carried out in a clean and spotless room. The overall environment is beautifully set-up, with a nice ambience for the photo-shoot session. The private rooms are huge, and extremely conducive for a peaceful and comfortable onsen experience 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We are always greeted with genuine smiles; very friendly and approachable staff who are polite and respectful throughout the whole session which added on to the wonderful experience. Appreciate the warm hospitality and attention to details; constantly checking in on us to ensure that we’re comfortable and that our needs are met and attended to. The masseuses are also very professional and mindful of our body language and facial expression, and know to check in with us consistently on the amount of pressure that is being applied during the massage session 💕🙏🏼

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole session; it was a very comprehensive package consisting of 15 mins foot scrub, 45 mins onsen (paired with desserts), and 60 mins full body massage. The photo-shoot session was also fun, with a wide variety of male and female kimonos to choose from, and different types of hair accessories with added on props such as umbrella, fan, samurai sword etc. The staff are very obliging in taking beautiful pictures to add on to your memorable...

Avoid this place – unsafe experience and lack of responsibility

I brought my family member to 38°C Onsen Spa @ Mount Austin / Dato Onn for a massage, but the experience turned into a medical emergency. Right after the session, he had to be hospitalized due to severe bruising all over his back and symptoms including headache, numbness, and body weakness. The doctor suspected potential nerve involvement possibly triggered by the massage. The CT brain scan confirmed no brain issues, but that does not rule out spinal or nerve injury from the massage.

We shared all medical documents with the spa. Initially, they appeared responsible and said they would bear the medical cost if the issue was caused by their service. However, once the brain scan came back clear (which only shows no brain injury, not body/spine condition), they refused to take any responsibility, ignoring the fact that the back was visibly bruised and symptoms started immediately after the massage.

Their staff later brushed off the injuries as “normal detox reactions” – which is completely unacceptable for visible trauma like the one sustained. Photos of the injuries were sent, and they still denied any accountability.

If you value your health and safety, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. No proper SOP, no qualified staff to deal with aftercare, and worst of all – they will deny everything if...

My friend and I visited this spa last week. The ambience and reception were pleasant at first, but everything went downhill during the massage.

We were a group of three sharing the same room, and unfortunately, the masseuses (young, from Indonesia) were unprofessional and immature. For the first half hour, they were giggling and chatting quietly among themselves instead of focusing on the treatment. My masseuse never once asked if the pressure was comfortable, and the back massage felt careless — sometimes done with just one hand.

The worst part came when I was asked to turn over. Even with a towel covering my eyes, I could clearly sense and see that my masseuse was clowning around, using one hand to “massage” me and the other to perform silly dance moves to entertain her colleague. I had to stop her and tell her to be professional. At that point, the whole relaxing momentum was gone, and I didn’t enjoy the session at all.

We reported the experience to the reception, but nothing was done apart from a brief apology. There was no form of service recovery or compensation offered, and to make matters worse, we were even asked to consider signing up for their package!
