I'm only here to review the gym. Barbell rebellion. Barbell rebellion is by far the best gym I have ever been to. Here's what it has, three squat racks, four if you count the Smith machine. Two powerlifting platforms. Two flat bench presses. Two sets of dumbbells from 2 to 20kg and one set of dumbbells from 22kg to 60kg I think is heaviest. Plenty of machines for every muscle group. And I haven't even mentioned the side room where you can do all that crossfit nonsense. Its relatively clean. The negatives of this gym is that there isn't an antiseptic spray to clean the benches after use. They provide a spray and a rag for you to wipe but it seems like it's just water. The other negative is this gym plays music from a 2000 chinese disco club ar volume 100. But I'm really just nit picking. Those things are not deal breakers at all. I've been to a lot of gyms. But this is the only gym where it seems to have been properly designed by somebody who is serious about his/her lifting and I appreciate that. I've also been to gyms where I've been warned to not use chalk because of the chalk stains I leave on the weight plates when I put them back on the rack. I won't say which gym because I don't want to levelup but here they seem to tolerate chalk because the people who are here come here to LIFT. This is THE gym. Forget any other gyms...
Read moreCame here for dinner and got food poisoning the next day. The service is lacklustre and frankly, probably unclean. There's this one young lady staff who kept walking within the pool's grating (the separated space between the pool and the walkway where people normally remove their slippers) when there's plenty of walkway space away from pool. She even rubbed her slippers on the grating - the same way you'd want to get gum off or remove something stuck to the bottom of your footwear. The same lady told us that cutlery and sauces are 'self-service', but there is no area that is set up and the cutlety and sauces are not laid out for anyone to take - you gotta go to the counter to ask another staff to give the items to you.
There are also stray cats that seem to roam around eating food left on the tables when the dîners are playing in the pool. The food poisoning makes more sense now....
Read moreIt is one of the place in Miri where you can enjoy Sunset while sipping on a cup of coffee or a cold bottle of beer. There’s a paid public pool for family with kids to enjoy their evening.
The beach is nice and clean and if you fancy doing something different, there are ATVs and dirt bikes available for rental and you can cruise along the sandy beaches with your loved ones, perfect.
However, there seems to be a problem with sandflies. Bring along your insect repellant if you want to take a stroll along this beach.
They do have basketball court, gym iand various other facilities for...
